I just returned home from our evening with some of the Kushnir clan! I think everyone that was there I've known since they were born or very young! We had a great night all centered around Jesus! I was especially excited to see the teen-agers clued in on the conversation all night-
The days have been packed! Rolfe was feeling under the weather today (stomach issues) and stayed in bed. (We share a room in the attic) I am hoping that he will feel better in the morning! We leave on Thursday for our tour of the cities...
I can't keep up with all we are doing in meetings, hearing from refugees and learning about the situation here but I will try to write more in the morning (ours), before we take off at 10 am (12pm tonight, Seattle time) to start the next round....
The picture of the Kushnirs was taken after two hours+ of talking about Jesus, the War and how to pray and how to hear God's voice! They didn't want to move an inch! Amazing!
The 1st picture of empty shelves demonstrates that many goods are hard to find and a lot of the humanitarian aid is starting to slow down. Pastor Pasha Dudka says they have all the donated clothes they need but are not receiving any food! In his area it is especially difficult because, even in good times, many in his congregation are on a week by week survival mode, now they are hosting and completely supporting over 100 refugees and sharing everything their family has, to care for those God has called them to help! We gave $2,000 and Rolfe's group gave $500 for food until we find out what is needed in the cities we are going to later this week.
The last 2 picture are in Maidon Shopping Center, in Chernivtsi, where we usually shop. Many regular items are just gone and they don't know when that will change. And this is in a city where there has been no shooting or bombs!
Hi Pastor Jerry, we are praying for all of your safety and a return to health for Mr. Carawan. Also for food supplies and other needs. And for Mr. Zelenskyy and Mr. Putin. And the list goes on. What is God's plan?
Jerry,

My heart hurts the don't have more food.. Praying Jerry. Blessings Marilyn
Dave and I were just praying for all of you. Thankful to see blog updates. Asking God for provisions, protections and miracles.
I recently saw a picture in a Russian supermarket that could be the twin to this one. My heart goes out to all of the innocent people in this conflict on both sides. I stand with Ukraine but my heart aches for our friends in Russia. I find myself praying as much for those who are being lied to by a demonic dictator as well as those on the recieving end of his evil. When this is over, Ukrainians will be able to hold their heads high and know they had no other choice but to fight. They will have a leader who fought in the trenches with them and friends from around the world who helped to support their effort. They will have taken in many Russian soldiers and bound their wounds and fed them. They will have known the peace and love of Christ. But those in Russia will discover the awful truth and realize that they had a willing albet ignorant hand in the death of innocent men, women, children, and animals (pets, domestic, wild and zoo). They will learn that their troops brutally raped women, some pregnant and many of them children. They will learn their leader is a psychotic madman hell bent on either dominating the world or burning it to the ground. They will be left with nothing and all for nothing. It is hard to watch. But, I know that this is in God's hands...it is His will and we must be patient to see what wonderful thing comes out of all this. Perhaps, a totally free and democratic Russia. Wouldn't that be something? II pray Rolfe is feeling better soon and is back at your side uplifting the beautiful people of Ukraine. I admire their faith, grace and spirit. Take care my friend. much love anita
