As you pray and fast for this mission trip to Ukraine...
I have a few short updates from Jerry after a very busy couple of days - and I know that many of you are hungry - as I am - for any little tidbits of news! SO I am passing them along with the expectation that in God's timing we will hear more details about all He is doing in and through Jerry and Rolfe as they follow Him!
Early this morning - Seattle time - Jerry wrote: We just returned from the Pastor's retreat, and by God's grace it was a tremendous time!!
Now we are getting ready for the discipleship group tonight. Then I am doing a 40 minute radio spot in the morning - I would be very grateful for your prayers!
Then at 11pm Ukraine time before calling it a day, he wrote again: We just sent the last of the discipleship folks off - it was a tremendous time - really significant! I am really tired and started to cough and get a runny nose today. I think it is just fatigue... so I won't write much but I wanted you to know how faithful God has been with your prayers.
I have to be up at 6am for the radio broadcast and then the afternoon meeting and speaking at Central Baptist... I am trusting God the Holy Spirit for all of this!

[Lord God, why do You allow this war to go on? So many innocent people have been hurt, tortured, killed or dispersed. Why should families and communities be torn apart? Why should they have to be pummeled for over a year? Why should such evil in the Russian government be allowed to continue? The Russian people have suffered for so many years under leadership that does not care about them. Why should they not enjoy the level of freedom that I have? Why should their resources be so limited? Why should the planet be under the threat of the use of “tactical” nuclear weapons? Yet — Your plan and timing are best. Please help Pastor Jerry, Mr. Carawan and Dr. Lev with their hopes and commitments. Help them reach the hearts of those they’re talking to. Give them needed rest and food. Help them with their travels. Please keep them safe. Help new souls come to saving faith. You are sovereign.]
