Continuing with our partners in the Venezuelan School of Christ...

Shalom dear ones, it is such a joy to be in partnership with you for the work of Christ!  

Just before I left for the Ukraine mission we had the wonderful privilege of helping provide food for pastors from all over Venezuela who came for a month long training there in both Scriptural proficiency and personal discipline!  It was a great sacrifice for many who had come from very difficult and dangerous situations in their own areas of ministry!  

They are up and ready for morning Worship and Prayer, as a group, by 5 am!  The food is very basic and limited. No food, snacks, coffee or any other provisions are allowed in their rooms or in any of their possessions.  They study and write all day, only taking time for work groups and a mandatory 1 hour rest period in the middle of the day!  Classes and tests go on into the evening every day, with the exception of Saturday night!  Towards the end of their time at the School of Christ, the students spent more time in the city evangelising  and by the grace of God, saw many repent and respond to our Lord  Jesus. 

It is not an easy task but I and several members of our church have participated in this hard core but life changing experience personally!  These Schools were started 40 years ago by an American pastor in the former Soviet Union and operate not only there, right up to the present, but in many Countries around the World!  

The students' past month was a wonderful and very productive time for these dear servants of Christ and the first time many of them have ever been a part of any adult education.  They received diplomas at the end for all who had completed the rigorous requirements and dressed up with caps and gowns at a formal graduation ceremony that many family and friends attended!   

Thank you once more dear friends for your faithful prayers and help as we seek to do everything that our Lovng God calls us to, to prepare saints for the work of the ministry and to extend the Kingdom of God in these last days before our Savior's return!!

P.S. at the end of this latest School of Christ, their leader, our dear brother, pastor Richard Suarez and his beloved bride Tahis Alvarez were joined together in marriage and as life partners in the service of Jesus Christ!
