We are watching so much grief and loss of life in the Russian/ Ukrainian War that it seems to be the overwhelming issue in our thoughts and prayers! But the enemy is constantly on the prowl seeing who he can devour, everywhere in the World! I Peter 5:8
The following is a letter I just received from our dear brother Enos Mutoka who heads up the lunch ministry in Kenya-
Dear Dad. Good evening. Thank you for your special note and prayers for us. We feel loved and cared for. I have been quiet with so much happening on my side, especially losing loved ones.
The whole of this month has been taken over by funerals of close relatives. The first weekend, we were home to bury our only remaining grandmother in the family. The second weekend, we were burying a mother-in-law to my uncle. Unfortunately, immediately after burial, my cousin was hacked to death by robbers who stole from him some valuables.
This last weekend, I just again came back from the village after the burial of Hildah's father in-law. Hildah is the elder daughter to Rose, my mom's sister. My murdered cousin burial is again slated for this coming Saturday,
It's been overwhelming, but God has continued to hold us and strengthen us. Please continue praying for us.
The lunch program is going well and the children, teachers and parents are very appreciative of your support. We pray that God will continue to open doors for the program to continue. Thank you so much for always being there for us.
Enos. So good to hear from you. Sending comfort for lost of so many relatives. You are in my daily prayers. So glad to hear lunch program is going well. Bless the lord. Numbers 6- 24- 25 Marilyn
