Our first day in Chernivtsy was a bit of a blur- we were still a little droggy from two days of travel and a short night sleep at the discieship house. But it is such a privilege to be with loved ones that we have walked together in Christ with for over 25 years! After breakfast we were able to catch up with one another a little bit. Then 12 of us went to lunch, a rare treat, and continued the sharing, plans for the week, as God leads, and updates on our young men in the family with life threatening illnesses [Zhenya with Leukemia and Jury (a correction from last night on the prayer line, I understood that it was Ilya who had the burst appendix but it was our young Jury). Jury is also critical because he had very poor care from the medical staff which has led him to three surgeries and very possibly a lethal outcome. Surprisingly, we were able to be with both boys, who earnestly love Jesus, and prayed for God's peace and miraculous intervention. It is in our loving Savior's hands now and we will continue to lift up Zhenya and Jury to God's mercy and perfect will... I keep falling asleep as I write this update so I better save the rest for tomorrow's blog. Thank you for loving 'even the least of these' for Jesus' sake! In His love, jerry
My friend Corenia (koreena), does not have wifi. I am printing out all of your blog pages and pictures so she can pray over you all. She is praying and fasting with me this month. You and Sue have already landed on her mind and she's been praying.
Much love
