I just made it through security in Tel Aviv and I am about 1 1/2 hours early so I am resting for a few minutes...it has been a very busy week but I think a fruitful one!
(I am not sure how communication will go in Russia but I will try to write as often as possible...)
I am so grateful God has made a way for this time in Russia! I keep hearing from the friends there and the Israeli's know how much things are changing there too so we may not have these opportunities much longer... I believe God has prepared everything in advance and I'm excited to see what He has in mind!
Please let our kids and our church know how grateful I am for their prayers and love- you all have mine as well!
My dear friend Vlad the business man picked me up right on time and we have been spending the evening with some of his business friends. We had a fun BBQ and then they asked me to share for a while. I talked about the Time article on kindness and some things we are learning about how that works in marriage. He has a beautiful dacha but now we are leaving for his house in the City. I am speaking at his church in the morning and I have been asked to talk about Moses and the burning bush...
Last night I spoke at the Beit Hallel church and mentioned that I was so old that I went to high school with Moses- the foreigners thought that was hilarious but the Israeli's didn't get it...they all went to high school with a guy named Moses! I am working on my cultural sensitivity...
It is important to be here; I gave them greetings from America, Ukraine and Israel.
They asked, "really"? They wondered if anybody liked them but I assured them they are much loved by many! Some of these things only communicate in person! I think we are off to a great start! I will try to write more tomorrow.
I am just heading to bed- 10:30 pm now and I got up in Tel Aviv at 2:30am. I was sweating as we were leaving Israel this morning and it is cold and starting their snowy season here in Moscow. Big difference! I am not feeling great tonight. I am hoping some good sleep will get me back on track!
