It has been exciting to see how God continues to care for our friends in Kenya!
A sweet lady that Enos and I correspond with in New Jersey has been donating sporadically with very helpful gifts to the Amson School in the Mathare slum. But in December she felt that God wanted her to commit to $5,000 / month - $1000 for teacher salary support (they each receive less than $200 / month) and $4000 / month to help with the facilities which are in desperate need!
Last month a devastating storm destroyed the plastic water tank on top of the school, which meant no running water for cooking lunches, hand washing, drinking etc.
Now a new tank has been erected and the plumbing has been erected, (one of the pictures shows the destroyed one) lockers for these dear teachers to store their things safely, more food, as you can see being unloaded by the young students, and a place to cook and wash hands for our 230 students! God's unfathomable love is new and abounds every morning! Lam. 3:22-24... All praise and glory to Jesus!
Good morning Dad
Thank you so much. We received the funds on Tuesday and we have been able to replace the tank, do repairs on the roof, buy text books for teachers guides, and a new locker for teachers.
We are now looking towards working on the walls, desks for learners, latest books for learners, and chairs and tables for teachers. Trying to give the school a new look.
What a huge blessing. Thank you for generous spirit. Encouraging. Enos.. Ep.3-20. He is our great provider. Marilyn P.S. so happy for teachers.
Praise God for His abundant provision and the way He encourages hearts.
! So good that the tank has been replaced. Thanks for sharing!
God bless this woman for obeying the call to help!! May those dear children feel the
Love of Christ that is behind those gifts and May their teachers and care givers be given renewed strength to not grow weary in well doing!!
