Good morning dear saints, may God's blessing and encouragement be over each of your lives!

I just received a phone call from Max Kushnir this morning!  It was an urgent call because it looks like all internet access and phone calls may be shut down soon!

Max' s family like all others in the City are seeking refuge in their basements every night as the air raid sirens start at 11pm and on!  The basements are cold in winter, food is getting more scarce, the children are all frightened!  Now they are inundated with refugees from all over the Country who need food, medicines, blankets, mattresses and places to sleep.  The churches are doing a great job working together!  They are putting people in their buildings and members are opening their homes to share whatever resource they have!

We have collected about $20,000 so far that we had hoped to send off through the International Swift electronic transfer system, but now the banks in Ukraine are closed and they are legally barred from dispensing any money, dollars or Ukrainian grievna.

Yet our God always has a way. Some time ago money was sent under Max and his father's control for various ministries and pastors around the Bukavina region. This gift was sent for pastoral support in the future and ministry programs which are all suspended at this time. What this means is that we can send money to Max's account which will be kept in the International electronic account until after the War. The cash that they have on hand will be released if there are funds in the bank to repay this emergency loan.

The bottom line is that we can forward the $20,000 now and add to it, as God provides, to support the churches and our leaders work in the hospitals and humanitarian aid in Chernivtsi, Kiev, Kharkiv and Dneper.   We are our brothers' keeper and it is now a time of action no longer just conversation...   With much love in Christ,  jerry

I also would like to share with you this letter from our dear friends Pastor Sergei and Lesa Orluk in Kiev. We are with them on virtually every trip to Ukraine. I think it is important for each of us to understand not only the details of this war with Russia but also the heart of those who are facing this horrific tragedy.

Hello Friend!

I want to report our news. We are alive Thank God! It is very scary what is happening but the prayers are so strong that they give some inhuman strength! We are in Ukraine, we haven't gone anywhere in Kyiv. Because this is our Home, our city, our Country!! We are in our blessed land that gave birth to us where we believe in our Lord and we have not encroached on the land of our neighbor!

The truth is on our side, so the Lord Almighty is on our side! Amen! Now Lisa and I continue to stay at home. And our father volunteered for the territorial defense of the city.

Me is very ashamed but I want to ask you for a favor. At the moment, I'm really asking... We don't have the opportunity to work now. In general. Everything is closed in Kyiv. All pharmacies banks and almost all stores. Three products are open for the whole district. Accordingly, we quickly ran out of money. Could we ask you a little bit? Even borrow and we will give it back to you later. If you have the opportunity to do it through Max as you did before we will be very grateful! Sorry for this annoyance our dear friend... Thanks!

I’m so sad for the people of Ukraine and Russia. And my heart is breaking for you, Jerry and Sue, and Gabrielle and others with friends and family in those countries. It’s hard not to wring my hands in worry. I know God says not to worry. Rather, pray, and don’t sit on my hands. So I pray for peace and relief. Thank you, leaders team, for the calls and channels to give. God’s answering our prayers even as we type. I only wish I could glimpse into the unseen world of His healing hands, which never stop.

I am thankful for ability to send money through to Max's Bank account. We want to help. You suffering is great and so are the needs. Concern for the precious children. They will feel love through hugs. Their angels see the face of God.Marilyn
