Shalom dear ones, thank you for your earnest prayers and intercession on behalf of our brothers and sisters in Ukraine!  They are standing firm, strong and steadfast in the face of horrific trials!  Pastor Dema in Kharkiv just sent this letter with a couple pictures showing God's miraculous protection over their church where over 100 refugees are housed. We have preached there many times and can hardly imagine what is happening to the people and to one of the most beautiful Cities in Europe!   Dr. Lev Prystupiuk and his family, all medical doctors, have been serving those in need tirelessly since they began working with their parents as young school children.  Now they are all staying in Kiev, called by God, and prepared for such a time as this, no matter what the ultimate cost may be!

Shalom dear brother Jerry,   You know, your words just became a sign of hope and keep connection even in such a hard time. We pray to God each day because now and always, our lives belong to Him.    Now our home is a long and hard journey in this challenging time. My family and I work hard in God's grace and love helping people and thereby show God's mercy when we can console our patient and even friend, in a word, prayer, medical examination, give him the necessary medical aid or feed him warm food and give him medicines and food to take with them.   Thank you, Jerry, to you and all your family for your prayers and love to us and the people you are reaching. I am happy to hear from you and read your emails. My family and I appreciate everything you do!   Thank you,  In Christ's love, Lev

Hello Jerry.  Thanks for praying for us.  Yesterday the Lord again protected us and our church.  Every day the Lord gives us orders and we try to fulfill them.  Victor and Lena with their children left for Lvov and serve there.  Jerry, I believe that the time will soon come when we can meet and give praise to our Lord.  Dema

It is so hard to imagine what they are going through not only physically but emotionally and spiritually. God choose the right people for this conflict is all I've got to say. I can't imagine the courage it takes just to stay where bombs are dropping. I pray for them, their families and for the end of the unimaginable destruction. I also pray for those in Russia who are risking their lives as well with brave acts of disobedience against the monster whose name is Putin. I weep for all of them, for the death of 100's of Ukrainians and Russians alike, for the destruction of beautiful and historic buildings and for the slaughter of animals both domestic and wild including pets, farm and zoo animals. All because of the greed, and make no mistake...it boils down to greed, for power and riches of one man. Putin is the embodiment of all the things that evil can make one human do to another. I pray for peace in your hearts, your land and in our world. May His everlasting Grace be with you all.

Hi Jerry and Sue - I thought I would post this bit of good news here so that you can convey it to our friends in Ukraine. This was just posted on Gov. Inslee's twitter account.
"Washington stands with Ukraine. Volunteers and regional leaders have gathered 32 tons of emergency medical supplies that are being loaded right now to help Ukrainian hospitals and families. The resilience and determination of the Ukrainian people is an inspiration to us all".

32 tons...amazing. So humbling to see God at work.
