The little station in the foreground of my first picture is the entrance to the place where Jesus distributed the ‘two fish and 5 small barley loaves’ that fed 5,000 men, not counting women and children, with 12 baskets of left overs after everyone had their fill! John 6:8,9! Amazing!! But those who eat that bread we’re going to get hungry again, but those who eat the bread of life, will live forever!
John 6:35
Behind the little station, is the hill that people sat on as they listened to Him give the Sermon on the Mount… I love this place! Dr. Lev and I stopped at Capernaum- where Jesus lived during most of His ministry years from age 30 to 33, and did many miracles there!
After that, we moved on and went up the hill from the site of the fishes and loaves to the Mt. of Beatitudes, where Jesus gave the Sermon on the Mount. It has been developed into a beautiful park and place of reverence for people to come and worship!
So we scurried up the hill only to find out it had just closed for lunch which was from 11:45 to 1 pm. We were disappointed, but prayed and felt like God said go back down the hill where there is a world famous Kibbutz! So, we did, and not 5 minutes after we left the gate, it was hit with rockets! You can see the smoke and flames over the buildings on the top of the hill in this picture, as Lev was standing in the Sea of Galilee! Neither side describes casualties or damage when the enemy attacks- but when I looked up and saw this, my heart just started weeping…
Why?!
(One of the other pictures shows our Kibbutz room, only the bare essentials! Perfect!!)
You’ve all been in situations most of us cannot even imagine. I believe God saved you to live another day - and to introduce another soul to Him. What a great thought. What a great God we serve.
God Is Great, All The Time!! Thank you for sharing this experienced with us. We pray for you and those along your journey every day!
