Safe Arrival in Chernivtsi!
Jerry sent another brief note and I'm excited to share!
...we made it through the border crossing, no problem just long (3 hr.) lines. We didn't get through until after the 11 pm curfew and got stopped twice on the way home by the military with automatic weapons but only short delays...
Nastya and Sophia fixed some Borscht for our arrival! I just got asked tonight to preach tomorrow morning so I would be very grateful for your prayers... It is past midnight and I am pretty pooped!

It was announced at our Easter Service that you were doing deliviring the Easter sermon there. How wonderful it must have been for all of them to see you. It must have been so calming for them to have you there. Continued prayers for your safety and wellbeing. He is Risen and I stand with Ukraine.
Happy Monday, Pastor Jerry. I think of how much you love our friends in Ukraine and Russia. And I think of what it might feel like to have their friend and pastor show up in person to say, “I’m here because I love you.” And I think of the dangers and discomforts you are all facing. I sort of wish I could snap my fingers to change it. But it’s far better to pray for God’s plan. So I continue to pray, and watch.
Our hearts and prayers are with you Jerry and Rolfe. And all of our brothers and sisters in Europe. Our brothers and sisters in Russia are in our prayers too. Praying for hearts to be changed and turned to Christ. We saw it in Saul/Paul. It is not beyond our Heavenly Father.
Now, for you Sue and Leah - you are not forgotten. Our fervent prayers are for the Peace that surpasses all understanding. May you rest Peacefully with your families and loved ones during this time.
