Dr. Lev continues to provide health care, medical supplies and support for victims of this terrible War in Ukraine, without regard to his own personal safety.  As most of you know the most intense fighting is in the Eastern part of the Country where the need is very desparate! His heart's desire is simply to know God and do His will, which he does with great humility and grace- all to the Savior's glory!

Shalom, dear brother!

Thank you so much to our Savior for guiding me on the right path and thank you so much for your prayers, support, mentoring, and encouragement.

My family and I are fine. I don’t remember telling you, my mother Marianna returned to Ukraine in August.

I have now spent 2 weeks in the Kharkiv region, where we assisted the local population in liberated remote villages. We worked at a distance of 4-7 km from the border with Russia. People need our Savior, encouragement, and spiritual and physical support, which is what we want to provide them.

Next week I will be traveling to distant villages in the Mykolaiv region.

When I'm in Kyiv, I regularly go to play tennis twice a week. I take Toma, Mark, and Artem with me to tennis. They all enjoy playing tennis and spending time together. I'm doing well with Toma.

I always ask the Lord to lead me and show me the path to follow, and of course, I always try to hear the will of the Lord.

Also, I recently recovered from Covid. I had a positive test and symptoms, but the illness, thank God, went away in a couple of days.

In addition to traveling to the East of Ukraine, I am actively working on my stroke project.

How are you and how is your family? Anything new?

I miss you very much.

In God’s love,

Lev

As the war drags on, I notice how I grow weary of the news. How difficult the battles are, how trying the spin-offs are (such as for grain and arms). I think of the Christians suffering in Russia. I think of every last citizen of Ukraine — how they’ve been impacted in so many serious ways.

And now I think of how Dr. Lev strives to maintain some good vibes by prioritizing a little tennis with his family (Bravo!). And I consider my good fortune of the Kushnir family moving to my corner of the world as a result — very special people!

I do not know what to do to help, but I will keep my eyes on God (2 Chronicles 20:12). — There is hope — “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” (2 Kings 6:16).
