Today we had the first prayer breakfast in Istanbul! Everyone agreed they hoped it would grow and develop into an annual event!

I also received a note today from Dr. Victor and his wife Katya, who are friends in Krasnodar, Russia. They tried for 11 years to have a baby.

We prayed when I was there 3 years ago and, by God's grace, nine months later little Andrew was born, Praise our loving God!  We prayed last year about their desire for another baby and, God's miracle, now they have a little girl, Alyona!  Victor and Katya sent pictures to let me to know what our amazing God has done for their family!

It is so satisfying and hope-casting when God commits babies to families we care for. Thanks be to God.

Lots. of history where you are now - 1 Peter references the elect exiles of the Dispersion in Pontus, Bithynia and Cappadocia which were places in Modern day Turkey. Praying you will be carried along by the Holy Spirit in all the places God has prepared in advance for you.

It must be encouraging to walk in places where not only Paul walked but Alexander the Great, Constantine and others as well as the conquering armies they brought with them. For me, it just makes God's promise more real....no matter the foolishiness of man or his need to pillage, make war, kill, destroy and conquer...our Lord has the final say. Man will only be confronted with total defeat and supplication to a power when Jesus returns. In the meantime....we just need to abide in the Lord and his infinite wisdom.......and eat donuts. Please let me know when you find some Long Johns. I can enjoy them with you in my mind, lol. Take care my friend

To quote Kevin "Before God even flung the stars in the sky" - "He knew these babies were coming. And He knows them well."
Well, the "He knew" part was mine ;-)
